The Treasury Services and Accounts Payable Analyst controls and facilitates the processing of all disbursement requests, receipts and payments through the SSP-GT, FS-CD systems and bank software. Performs the daily movement of funds to and from operational and investment accounts to cover bank accounts and daily funding requirements. Administers the American Express Corporate Card program together with the Concur Employee Travel and Entertainment Reporting programs. Monitors and analyzes employee expense activities using the Concur and American Express @Work systems to prevent fraud and ensure compliance to corporate policies and IRS directives. Oversees the operation and maintenance of the Concur System.

Responsibilities
  • Reconciles daily bank accounts activities and determines bank accounts daily funding needs. Initiates the movements of funds from operational accounts to investments accounts or vice versa to meet funding requirements.
  • Performs daily processing cash receipts through SAP – Accounts Receivable and SAP-FSCD systems. Reconciles Accounts Receivable transactions with the Bank Statements and General Ledger System
  • Determines and applies the proper tax type and tax jurisdiction of company expenses submitted for payment. Identifies expense that need to be capitalized and applies proper asset coding.
  • Administers the American Express Corporate Card program in conjunction with the Concur Travel and Entertainment Expense reporting program.
  • Reconciles daily disbursement activity with the SAP-General Ledger System and performs balancing of processed invoices with GPA batch logs.
  • Performs the daily operations/oversight including check printing and the verification of print quality; the creation and transmission of positive pay (check fraud control) and ACH files to the bank, including the reconciliation of files sent, with those received by the bank, including the reconciliation of file sent with those received by the bank.
  • Overseas the processing of wire transfers, foreign drafts and stop payments, check status inquiry, with the Cash Management group. Performs payment adjustments, review of paid exceptions and payment clearance functions.
  • Controls and monitors travel related activity to ensure compliance with corporate policy and tax directives governing such activity by utilizing the Concur and American Express @Works Systems.
  • Trains new employee on current and new work processes, and in the use of various systems applications and bank statements.
  • Responds to inquiries from employees, vendors and clients relative to the status of payment requests and payments.
  • Performs user acceptance testing of new system applications.
Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities.

Your profile

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:
  • 5+ year’s work in accounting field preferably in Accounts Payable or Treasury Services
  • Ability to analyze and report on transactions
  • Strong bookkeeping and/or accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of SAP – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Material Management systems
  • Strong knowledge of Bottomline Technologies and ERADS products
  • Knowledge of Banking Software
  • Knowledge of ISyCL, Concur and American Express @Work System
