The Town of Fairplay, Colorado, a Statutory Town in Park County with a population of 724, is looking for a team player to fill the position of Town Treasurer. Experience required should include governmental accounting knowledge and prior responsibilities for management of the daily operations for finance and accounting functions, including but not limited to, coordination of annual budget process, processing of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, utility billing functions, managing investments, purchasing, and financial reporting. Experience with Governmental Financial software, preferably Caselle, is highly desired. Candidates must have a college degree in Business, Accounting or a related field with at least 5 years of accounting and budgeting experience and 2 years in a supervisory position, or a satisfactory combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background check. The position is exempt from overtime and appointed by the Board of Trustees.
