Job Duties/Scope Of Work
JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides technical and logistical collaboration for training programs that support Safety, Health, and Training as well as other organizations under the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract, other Hanford contractors, and the Department of Energy (DOE). Responsibilities typically include but are not limited to determining training needs, providing logistical support, establishing class schedules, scheduling instructors, preparing class documentation materials, and ensuring training records are compliant with project and facility-specific requirements.

This position supports HAMMER/Hanford Training and Logistics, and performs the following essential job responsibilities:
- Collaborates with course points of contact to determine class schedules and instructor support levels needed to meet Site training demands.
- Assists in developing annual schedules for classes, working with business sectors and operations to determine training needs. Determine facility and instructors for availability.
- Compiles session packages for training (i.e., rosters, manuals, lesson plans, etc.).
- Works with contractors, coordinators and subcontractors to resolve scheduling needs. Respond to requests by setting special sessions when needed by the Site.
- Monitors class census to add or cancel classes for the Site. Resolve customer issues regarding scheduling training and provide technical support.
- Produces monthly billing reports. Supports management/points of contact and trainers as needed for reports, requests etc. - Schedules and assigns instructors as needed including interfacing with management, course points of contact and instructors.
- Administers systemized tracking mechanisms to ensure accurate data reconciliation.
- Works with the Instructional Design Team on Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) input for course program files.
- Strategic planning and forecasting to determine class sessions and instructor levels needed to meet site training demands.
- Provides technical assistance to outside users of company training systems.

Basic Qualifications
- This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree - or - an equivalent combination of education
and experience, plus 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of MicroSoft Office and other necessary computer software and applications utilized in the training department.
  • Knowledgeable of training coordination functions, in accordance with detailed guidelines and established procedures.
  • Knowledge of standards and requirements associated with electronic management systems designed to successfully capture data used for required reporting.
  • This position requires excellent customer service/support.
