General Description
Assists with scheduling of training sessions, coordinates with instructors, distributes required instructional
materials, and communicates schedules with details. Process enrollments and answer routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. Utilize information systems or databases to enter data and produce reports on training statistics and assessments of the programs, participants and instructors. Assist with facilitation of regulatory and agency required trainings.
Essential Functions
- Assist with the research, development and organization of training modules, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials maintained electronically and in a resource library accessible to all support and professional staff.
- Aid in the expansion of training programs, as well as modify and improve existing programs.
- Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of social media, digital communication and agency website.
- Contribute in the maintenance of agency communications, to include: monthly training calendars, scheduling training requirements, assist with coordination of webinars, conferences and mission oriented training sessions.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Work effectively as a team member with all employees and people served.
- Aid with new employees orientation and regulation trainings based on agency policies, RI State Regulations and OSHA Standards.
- Assists with the facilitation of regulatory and agency required training using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, workshops and use of a learning management system (LMS).
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Quality and Development.

- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Knowledge of leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of communication, social media, digital communication and appropriate sharing of information.
- Teaching Strategies- Selects and uses training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new material or methods.
- Communication - Actively shares information, is accurate and thorough, asks questions as appropriate and contributes new ideas towards the agency's training agenda. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
- Organization- Follows a structure or procedure with specific attention to detail.
- Actively Listens - Takes time to understand information shared and responds appropriately.
General Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred in education, human services or a related field with a concentration in training and development.
- Minimally two years' experience in a related role focused on facilitation and development of trainings.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experienced with social media maintenance and digital communications
- Knowledgeable with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Information Management Systems.
- Clear Criminal background check (BCI)
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Additional Functions of the Job
The physical demands are essential functions of the job for an employee to safely and effectively perform their duties. Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting. Work may include extended periods viewing a computer video monitor and operating a keyboard.

- A clear criminal background check.
