Technicial Specialist - Night Shift **$2000 Sign On Bonus*** Job at RR Donnelley
RRD is looking for an energetic, and highly motivated team member to join our team of Technical Specialists at our Elk Grove Village facility! We will provide full training and a sign-on bonus of $2,000 for those that successfully complete their probation period!
- Assists Supervisors- Manufacturing, in planning, organizing, staffing, directing, supervising, and controlling the daily manufacturing areas.
- Provide subject matter expertise of maintenance and setup of equipment learned through extensive technical training/certification to assist in ensuring the manufacturing operations operate efficiently and effectively
- Manage and coordinate special projects with line supervisors, Press Operations, Maintenance or other departments such as implementing new equipment, training on new equipment or processes etc.
- Prepare reports for management as required
- Provide technical assistance to functional manufacturing areas responding to breakdowns and/or overhauls or equipment
- Assist with new equipment evaluations and installations
- Develop training programs and job aids for new equipment
- Monitor the production floor to assess technical needs of the departments
- Provide technical training for apprentices.
- Perform administrative and record keeping responsibilities.
- Meets quality and productivity levels by training and motivating employees to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
- Act as a leader in providing and promoting a safe and injury-free work environment.
- Improve productivity through involvement and accountability.
- Analyzes and resolves work-related problems and assists employees in solving problems.
- Identify and implement production efficiencies and quality control standards.
- Coordinates production activities with other functions/departments as well as with customers.
- Monitors production and provides guidance in troubleshooting any problem areas.
- Coaches employees to develop leadership and teamwork skills.

Hourly Rate Disclosure Statement:
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $30.00 to $42.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of $2000], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. Required Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Technical Training/Certification of Production Equipment
5 years minimum experience as an Assistant Supervisor or Lead in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Process Improvement Disciplines
Must have experience working with web presses, web offset printing, variable inline inkjet applications, inline finishing applications, and postal requirements for mailings
