Job Description:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and support Area A/B Team Supervisors
  • Develop, communicate, and manage departmental objectives.
  • Work with other SET departments to help align technical training and support with various strategic business objectives.
  • Interview hire and onboard new team members.
  • Document and provide 90 day, mid-year and annual associate reviews.
  • Plan and implement activities for the team’s associate development and growth.
  • Plan and manage departmental budgets and financials.
  • Assume responsibility as lead communicator with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) regarding technical training and support.
  • Work with Toyota dealerships along with local and state automotive education institutions to recruit and retain new students.
  • Work with the Toyota Technical Education Network (TTEN) college programs.
  • Work with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) group.
  • Embrace the Kaizen process and support projects where necessary.
  • Observe, evaluate and provide constructive feedback to trainers in both classroom and shop environments.
  • Develop, communicate and manage departmental technical training schedule.
  • Overnight travel required - Minimum four nights per month.
  • Willing to relocate.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Effective leadership experience is required
  • 4 to 6 years automotive experience strongly preferred
  • Automotive Industry experience required.
  • Understanding of adult learning best practices and how to ensure quality training delivery
  • Must be willing to travel overnights
  • Willingness to relocate to meet business demands is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office product suite
