Title: Technical Support Assistant

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Assistant position is responsible for interfacing with customers, sales representatives, managers and end users for technical support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating Return Material Authorization (RMA) cases and issuing corresponding RMA numbers to customers with POWERVAR approved returns in accordance with Service Department procedures.
• Perform quotations as needed for various preventative and remedial services for both depot and field serviceable products.
• Entering Service orders in to the Powervar Sales systems.
• Schedule and coordinate field service activities between customer and service group.
• Support service projects as directed by the National Service Manager.
• Perform order entry for various service, parts, and battery replacement orders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience a plus
• Requires a high degree of independent judgment, initiative, and aptitude for creative problem solving.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• General computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office

This position is located in Waukegan, Illinois, approximately midway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
