We are seeking a full-time Technical Operations Supervisor to oversee our growing group of broadcast station subchannels. The Technical Operations Supervisor will oversee all technical aspects of subchannel distribution across 30+ stations. Over 200 subchannels and growing means the right candidate will possess excellent project management skills and have a solid background in the operation of broadcast television systems and equipment in an IT/Engineering capacity. The Technical Operations Supervisor will work with the VP of Distribution and the Engineering team and be responsible for the technical oversight of new channel launches including equipment integration, day-to-day oversight of subchannel operations, and resolving technical needs and issues as they arise. QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical communications field preferred.
• Previous experience in a television broadcast setting is required.
• Experience with OTT platforms and applications and linear TV channels is required.
• Experience with operating and overseeing multicast TV channels and OTT platforms is required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office 365 software.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

SKILLS

• First-hand experience in project management and systems design within a television broadcast context.
• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments.
• The ability to professionally and comfortably interact with co-workers, viewers, and professional contacts.
• Experience interacting with Diginet clients to coordinate services and resolve conflicts as needed.
• Knowledge of when to escalate issues related to 3rd party non-responsiveness or lack of appropriate resolution.
• Competency in quickly self-learning new or unfamiliar technologies.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency within a deadline-oriented fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for overseeing new channel launch operations within each market.
• Responsible for working in tandem with the Engineering Department to coordinate the implementation of new channels and facilitate equipment needs and updates in coordination with the VP of Engineering.
• Responsible for all maintenance communications and technical support to keep channels operational.
• Responsible for communications with Network departments as needed as well as viewer issues regarding channel reception.
• Responsible for updating the supervisor regularly regarding projects and reporting on their status.
• Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the VP of Network Distribution.
