Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), ETC (Electrical Technical Center) Electrical Design organization has an exciting opportunity for a Wiring Technical Designer (level 3 or 4) in Everett, WA, Renton, WA and Tukwila, WA to help us define the future of commercial aerospace with innovative ideas that advance or culture of safety and quality that our customers, the flying public, expect.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Wiring Technical Designer.
This is a union represented position.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards. Interprets and develops design requirements based on technical data.
Selects components, prepares design layouts, modifies existing designs and integrates system elements to satisfy customer and productivity requirements.
Validates engineering system design and functionality.
Ensures compliance with requirements, standards and applicable regulatory authority and maintains the integrity of the product.
Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.
Works under general direction of a lead engineer and an experienced mentor to enhance both your technical learning and career growth.
Work Authorization:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of experience using wire design tools such as WIRS, MAPPER, CADDS and/or Capital Logic.
Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Typical Education / Experience:
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors in Engineering Technology (Technologist)) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education (e.g. Associate or Technicians degree) and typically 3 or more years of related work experience, or 5 years' related work experience, etc.
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors in Engineering Technology (Technologist)) and 4 or more years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education (e.g. Associate or Technicians degree) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience, or 8 years' related work experience, etc.)

Experienced Level: $68,000-$92,000
Senior Level : $80,750 - $109,250
