The Team Administrator, Sporting KC II position manages the team operations of the Sporting KC II MLS NEXT PRO team and assists in managing the Sporting Kansas City MLS team, Sporting Kansas City Academy teams. Additionally, the Assistant Team Administrator will aid the technical staff and players in all their day-to-day operations to achieve team goals.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Managing day-to-day operations for Sporting KC II MLS NEXT PRO team.
- Manage & track Sporting KC II technical operating budget.
- Plan & execute various team trips and events.
- Coordinate & communicate team and facility schedules with staff and players.
- Manage registration of players in MLS NEXT PRO and FIFA TMS.
- Assist players in their onboarding and relocation process, which includes but is not limited to, immigration, housing, transportation, culture acclimation and more.
- Perform various matchday tasks to prepare locker room and team for competition.
- Coordinate scheduling and other needs with the management of Sporting KC II’s training facility, Swope Soccer Village.
- Assist players in their relocation process, which includes but is not limited to, visas, housing and transportation.
- Assist with Team Administration of Sporting Kansas City MLS team and SKC Academy MLS Next teams.
- Communicate with various Sporting KC front office departments including accounting, communications, community relations, marketing, partnerships, people team, and others as needed.
- Communicate with competition governing bodies regarding player & team registration, rules & bylaws, events, and more.
- Maintain & develop various relationships inside and outside of the organization.
- Maintain & develop a competitive & successful team environment.
- Support Sporting Kansas City’s mission, vision and purpose.
- Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience.
- Prior experience in team operations preferred.
- Experience in soccer required.
- Bachelor’s degree in relative field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Capacity to adapt to the unique and vibrant Kansas City market.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language.
- Spanish language fluency preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Calendar.
