The Teaching Assistant (also known as Student Advisor) will be the main point of contact for students enrolled in a full-time virtual academy. This position communicates with students and parents to help them understand the program and maneuver through the virtual academy system. This position is also responsible for technical questions and problems that students or parents may experience.

• 
  Location: remote - must have daily functional access to WiFi
• Schedule: 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday (30 min unpaid lunch break)
• Duration: through the '22-'23 school year (working on all student days)
• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in education or related field
• Experience as an instructional assistant or teacher preferred
• Experience troubleshooting computer- and technology-related issues preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:

(Clearances and TB current within 12 months)

• PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI Use code 1KG6XN
• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
• Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training Certification
