Our firm is seeking an experienced Tax Associate with an eye for detail, who can rapidly become an integral part of our growing team. The right candidate will use their strong knowledge of tax laws and a commitment to excellence to accurately complete all tax preparation work and make sure they follow current tax regulations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have a passion for taxation, and be able to successfully build relationships with a wide variety of clients.

Requirements

- Must have strong technology skills and be proficient with all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge and experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS and Accounting CS, QuickBooks Online, & Gusto is a plus
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to listen effectively
- Work well under pressure; able to meet deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to learn processes quickly and apply that knowledge to engagements
- Team player with a desire to be an active participant within the organization
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university (minimum of 150 college credits required)
- Masters in Accounting or Taxation (preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License or CPA Candidate
Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns
- Research tax issues and legislation and interpret tax code
- Make projections on future tax liabilities based on variable options to make client recommendations as part of the tax planning process
- Interact with client personnel regarding tax return information, deadlines, etc. and keep the team informed on status
- Keep current on professional announcements and proactively participate in professional development opportunities

Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
