Talent Acquisition Specialist Job at Martin Marietta
Position Responsibilities:
- Locate new sources of candidates for skilled trades, such as equipment operators, maintenance mechanics, laborer roles, and field staff roles.
- Cultivate relationships with trade schools and local organizations, and establish relationships with those capable of providing us with a pipeline of applicants
- Help us establish a strong reputation and employment brand in the local communities
- Collaborate to improve our staffing processes
- Create workforce plan
- Serve as a talent scout in sourcing passive candidates through networking, cold calling, and Internet research.
- Conduct phone screens and make recommendations to hiring managers
- Schedule and participate in interviews when necessary and coordinate interview activity
- Perform targeted candidate searches - employee referrals and social media
- Maintain accuracy of candidate status in the applicant tracking system throughout the entire recruiting process
- Manage college recruiting process, attend local career fairs
- Manage the staffing process from opening the requisition to the offer
- Coordinate the new hire onboarding process – pre-employment scheduling, background check, required paperwork, and conduct first-day orientation.
Position Requirements
- At least two years of Sourcing and Staffing experience
- Ability to travel locally on a regular basis.
- Must be outgoing and assertive
- Creativity and passion to generate new ideas.
- Highly organized with solid project management experience and the proven ability to multi-task
