Position Summary:

The System Developer/Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance and documentation of computer programs, applications, and reports for internal and external customers. In addition:


  • Create complex applications using web technologies (PHP/.Net/HTML/JavaScript/CSS) based on company requirements
  • This job requires both front-end and back-end development.
  • Test developed applications against business needs
  • Produce appropriate technical and business documentation for developed applications
  • Provides end user support on developed applications
  • Excellent knowledge of database design and development
  • Thoroughly versed in SQL programming language
  • Microsoft Visual Studio and C#
  • Excellent ability to learn and adapt to changing priorities and business processes
  • Strong multi-tasking ability and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, RDLC)


The eligible candidate for this position would work full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday. Regular and predictable attendance is required for this remote position.


Working within Administrative Services, the System Developer/Analyst is part of the Information Technology team that supports smooth operations for agency programs across the state. The Connection provides essential services to people in need of assistance for homelessness, substance use treatment, behavioral healthcare, and returning to communities after incarceration.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 3 years related experience developing software
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • The Connection Inc. complies with Executive Order 13G. Any employee hired on or after September 27, 2021 must either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or apply for a medical or religious exemption and be approved. If approved, you must submit to weekly testing as required in each program.


Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
