Supply Chain Manager, Responsible Pulp & Paper - Winchester (UK), Lille or Lyon (FR) Job at Earthworm Foundation
Supply Chain Manager, Responsible Pulp & Paper - Winchester (UK), Lille or Lyon (FR)
Deadline: 08/01/2023
Earthworm Foundation is an international dynamic non-profit organization which helps companies transform their supply chains across the world for the benefit of people and nature.
Earthworm Foundation is seeking a motivated, Supply Chain Manager, Responsible Pulp & Paper, based either in Winchester (UK), Lille or Lyon (FR).
The Responsible Pulp & Paper Supply Chain Manager will be part of the Grievance Management Team within Earthworm, which delivers Earthworm ’s grievance service to members and clients – typically consumer goods companies based in Europe and the US. We use the term ‘grievance’ to describe campaigns by NGOs like Greenpeace and Amnesty International, or media outlets like the Associated Press, who make allegations of environmental and human rights abuses against companies through connections in their commodity supply chains. The scope of Earthworms role is determined by Earthworm members’ connection to deforestation, peat degradation and exploitation of communities and workers, primarily in palm oil but now also with Pulp & Paper (on which this new position will be focussed).
Earthworm provides the tools, technical expertise and local knowledge of our field offices to analyse grievance cases and make recommendations on how Earthworm members and clients should respond, and supports their engagement with suppliers and the campaigning NGOs. Earthworm also supports our members and clients to design and implement projects on the ground in the main agricultural commodity-producing regions of the globe to address the problems often highlighted in grievances. Earthworm’s goal is to maximise the impact of our members and to be positive actors in resolving the issues that campaigning organisations raise.
