Supply Chain Manager Job at Paragon Medical Headquarters
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership to define, implement and optimize the supply chain strategies and objectives that will support the Paragon Medical business plan. A successful candidate will depend upon strong experience and knowledge of S&OP processes, ERP, procurement, planning and supply chain systems to evaluate the competitiveness of the supply chain and will lead improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, track and report key indicators of functional performance
- Lead effective monthly supply reviews to support meeting customer demand
- Create or maintain the supply chain and inventory performance reporting and tracking processes to ensure leadership has accurate and useful information
- Collaborate with project management to ensure an effective resource utilization, planning and execution of projects that are in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the identification of risks and opportunities for complex proposals and Supply Chain matters
- Assess current state and maturity of Supply Chain policies and procedures, evaluate risks and prioritize areas of opportunity
- Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, new product development and cost reduction strategies
- Drive effective change management and communication activities for new and changing Supply Chain policies and procedures
- Maintain an awareness of current industry trends and conditions that affect suppliers, cost of goods and pricing that may have operational or strategic implications for the company
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Understand the linkages in Supply Chain from demand planning through delivery to customer
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively across functional lines without formal authority
- Collaborate effectively with regional supply chain, procurement, commercial, customer service, finance, logistics and technology to deliver results
- Results-oriented, demonstrating strong facilitator and influencing skills to be able to drive a team towards a final decision in an environment with high levels of ambiguity, complexity and risk
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, engineering or other technical major preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a combination of the following functional areas: Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning and/or Strategic Sourcing
- Experience with SIOP planning, master scheduling, detailed scheduling, materials planning, inventory management, supply chain management
- Experience working in a complex organization and achieving results through leveraging internal and external partners
- Experience working with distributed teams
