You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. This Senior Marine Engineering position will be on a dynamic team, working to support Navy acquisition programs and commercial customers with ship and system designs while mentoring junior engineers. This position will focus primarily on surface uncrewed systems, test sites and detailed design of ships systems.

In this role, you will:
- Provide professional support services to NAVSEA Program Offices in the areas of surface combatants and unmanned maritime systems.
- Oversee plans, as well as programmatic support to maintain, milestone plans, and contract compliance.
- Work as a senior member of the engineering team designing and overseeing designs of ships systems, test site systems, fabrication dawings, technical procurment specifications and acquisition documentation.
- Generate and revise acquisition, engineering, and logistics plans to conform to significant program events or milestones from program initiation through life cycle support including Milestone Decisions.
- Advise Government on critical aspects of maritime system design and employment.
- Author trade studies using weighted analyses techniques to optimize design and generating presentations.
- Support the Government in Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) programs through planning, coordination, studies, assessment, and final reports.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Must be able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance post employment.- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline and 7+ years of experience.
- NAVSEA Program Office experience is required.
- Proficiency in technical writing is required.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
- Must possess familiarity with MS-Office software to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Power Point.
- Travel may be required up to 10%.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- 15 years of experience in engineering or scientific discipline.
- Have a Professional Engineering License in related field
- Have an advanced degree (Masters level or higher) in related field or management
