About The Position
The Sr. Director of Product Management, Consumer Experiences (SPM), reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, will be an early member of the Product Leadership team, responsible for crafting and executing the vision and strategy for our Consumer-facing products.
The SPM responsibilities include managing the entire product lifecycle from creating the product vision and strategy, aligning business and product OKRs, defining customer personas and journeys, product discovery (customer and data research, solution validation, prototyping), driving delivery and measuring outcomes.
In addition the SPM will be expected to recruit and manage a world-class team of Product Managers to prioritize and execute the product strategy to deliver products which successfully achieve the defined objectives, as well as establishing the product principles, processes, and culture to create a reliable, repeatable delivery framework.
The SPM will lead the successful collaboration of the various cross-functional teams involved in the lifecycle of the product to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
- Align senior leadership's vision, company goals, and go-to-market strategy to successfully define the Product strategy and vision for our Consumer-facing products
- Execute the product strategy by identifying solutions and executing product discovery to validate assumptions, alleviate risks, and define products that successfully achieve desired outcomes
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing, Business Owners to execute the Consumer-facing product strategy
- Define KPIs and instrument analytics solutions to accurately measure outcomes and business results of our Consumer-facing products
- Manage the intake, assessment, and prioritization of ideas, establishing a transparent prioritization framework and change management process to drive key decisions
- Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, competitive offerings and potential partnerships to identify opportunities for competitive advantage and innovation
- Work in partnership with Engineering managers to drive resource allocation and timelines to ensure successful product delivery
- Evaluate marketing and promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
- Partner with the Customer experience team to solicit feedback on company products and services
Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of Digital Product Management experience, ideally working on E-Commerce, Social Commerce, or consumer Fintech products
- 5+ years Product leadership experience leading Product teams in defining and delivering delightful and innovative Consumer-facing web and/or mobile products.
- Experience recruiting, managing and coaching PMs and a passion for creating a culture where top product management talent is created are nurtured
- Demonstrated success implementing modern Product Management processes, frameworks, and tools ato lead teams in delivering products for consumers
- Experience implementing both qualitative data and analytics and qualitative research to inform product decisions
- Deep experience leveraging test and validation frameworks throughout the product lifecycle, including concept stage, data research, user and UX testing, A/B testing, feature flags and other testing methodologies fast and at scale
- Experience being accountable for a product area and its performance and profitability
- Proven experience leading successful product teams including performance coaching and career development at all levels
- Experience managing UX/UI design resources directly or dotted line is a plus
