Job Description:
The Senior Collections Representative in the Bankruptcy Department has the following responsibilities:

Working closely with your team and our outside bankruptcy attorneys to comply with the legal rights for the customer and our company due to customers bankruptcy filing. Working closely with customers who are current or delinquent in the repayment of their loans/lease & who have filed bankruptcy.
Understanding the difference in the bankruptcy chapters. Setting up repossessions. Ability to follow directions and workflows. Capable of sustaining a monthly score of a meets or higher for all department monthly objectives.

Job Requirements:
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate with our attorneys and customers’ attorneys.
  • Ability to review and compose court documentation.
  • Be courteous and follow policy and procedures when on the phone with customers and attorneys; knowledgeable of the bankruptcy legal process a plus.
  • Understand the total loss process- what is needed to complete the process on our end and with the Bankruptcy. Need to know what is remaining on our secured claim through the BK or if the customer is paying us direct and have relief from stay before we can settle with the insurance company.
  • Know the lien sale process and what to do when /if the unit needs to be inspected and who to send the account to value the unit and if we should secure.
  • Understand Pacer (Public Access Court Electronic Records), the bankruptcy process and what the filed documents mean when reading for understanding of what is situation with the BK.
  • Internet savvy.
  • High attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Assertive, persuasive, clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedures as well as state requirements. Adhere to compliance requirements of UDAPP, FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, SCRA and all other regulatory requirements.
