Who We Seek
We are seeking a Special Education Elementary/Middle School Teacher who is vital in the creation of a differentiated curriculum, instruction of content, and, most importantly, supporting students’ ability to access the academic program at the Doctor Franklin Perkins School. You will also implement grade-level curricula to meet academic standards based on the Mass. Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Curriculum. Requires ability to recognize the unique qualities of each student and incorporate them into appropriate lessons and/or projects.

Who You Are
​You hold a Moderate Special Educator license through the Commonwealth of MA, have at least a bachelor's degree in education, special education, or related field. A master's degree in special education is preferred, but not required. You also have knowledge of evidence-based inclusive practices that meet the needs of social/emotional learners, a range of special education interventions, and the understanding of behavioral principals.

Hours:
37.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm; 12-month benefited position

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
