Role and Responsibilities
The Sourcing Manager will manage the company's supply portfolio analyze cost of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditures. This position will help oversee the growth of the distribution supply chain operation. This position requires advanced Microsoft Office skills with ability to analyze data and maintain complex spreadsheets as it relates to a multi-site distribution model. The Sourcing Manager will work in both an office and warehouse environment dependent on the needs of the department.
- Identify new vendors and opportunities for partnerships within the otc business
- Develop and utilize metrics and data driven decision-making capabilities to improve overall organizational capability through systems and processes and drive continuous improvement
- Drive supplier cost and negotiations ensuring competitive marketplace
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft office skill specifically outlook and excel
- Product audits and QA
- Attention to detail necessary
- Analyze and monitor economic and consumer trends
- Forecast sales and inventory
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Excel
- Purchasing and inventory management experience
- Experience in OTC and/or e-commerce industry preferred but not required
- Proven work experience as a Sourcing Manager or Procurement Manager
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
- Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions
