Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be working side by side with a cross functional team of product owners, quality assurance and engineers who are focused on the continued growth of Extron’s award-winning Control Systems solution. You will be working on solving real world problems and innovating how our millions of users configure, control and interact with AV Devices. You will participate in both early technology research and product development. We need our engineers to be versatile and passionate to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward.

Responsibilities

• The Client App provides a convenient point of control for Extron control systems and supports popular platforms including iOS, Android and Web (running in browsers)
• Develop client applications for various popular OS platforms using cross platform frameworks
• Collaborate with engineering leads, product owners, UX/UI designers and firmware engineering to provide a consistent and predictive product.
• Support of agile principles and values within and across the cross functional teams.
• Provide valuable analysis on designs and application code.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies
• Author and maintain documentation and unit test

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in developing client applications for one or more of the following platforms: iOS, Android, and Chrome OS
• Software development experience in cross platform mobile frameworks like Flutter or React Native
• 2+ years’ experience in developing web applications using Angular or ReactJS
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and programming principles.
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing Restful API’s
• Software development experience in Node.js
• Network programming experience

Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
