Position Overview:
The PLL is looking to hire an experienced Social Media Manager who has a deep understanding of storytelling, social media metrics, brand building, audience growth, and overall social media strategy. This candidate must be a skilled communicator who can manage publishing across several different accounts, write social copy, manage community, and work with our social team to assign roles and delegate publishing tasks.

This position will be located within the broader Content Team. You will work with the senior members of the team to achieve short and long term OKRs, and bring experience in reporting from native insights tools and third party reporting tools. This role will play a leading role in managing the social team, as well as support their professional development.

The role requires understanding of the PLL, its players and the sport of lacrosse, while also balancing the ability to communicate to new fans outside of the game. This candidate must have experience running popular social media accounts, understanding of a brand voice and knowledge of the internet ecosystem.

You will bring consistent creativity and the ability to take concepts from ideation stage to execution across established channels and emerging platforms.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in social media
  • Experience running/leading a brand, sports team or other popular social media accounts
  • Minimum base level knowledge of lacrosse; preference for material knowledge of the sport and league
  • Experience creating and maintaining a social content calendar
  • Idea creation for memes and other pop culture references to keep PLL atop the conversation
  • Social Reporting and Insights experience across native insights tools and third party tools (CrowdTangle, Tableau, or similar)
  • Track record of achieving audience growth and engagement across managed handles
  • Project Management experience - running social campaigns via PM tools
  • Editing social cuts optimized for each platform (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat etc.)
  • Switching between tone of voice across various social handles
  • Must have superior communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Exhibits excellent work ethic, strong problem solving skills, and tenacity when it comes to shooting, producing, and/or editing content
  • Some editing experience with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro
  • Experience editing TikToks and creating Instagram stories
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and results-focused with strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and ability to adjust to changing priorities. Able to maintain composure under pressure and remain a diplomat. Execution-focused mindset, analytical and balanced approach to problem-solving. Ambassador for the sport.
  • Prepared to travel 10+ weekends over the course of the summer season
Compensation:
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • $65,000 to $75,000 annually
  • The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
