About the Role: The Social Media Associate is an entry level position and is responsible for managing specific social campaigns pre and post launch, as well as ensuring social RFPs and campaign launches are managed in a proactive manner. This role has responsibility for building strategic campaign plans and providing volume estimates for social RFP requests. The Social Media Associate is responsible for understanding the media plan objectives and how social can directly affect overall performance of the campaign. This position reports directly to the Supervisor, Social.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Create, manage and optimize paid social ad campaigns including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest and Reddit
  • Ensure all accounts pace according to budget and goals
  • Work with Account Manager and Analytics Specialist to develop performance stories and highlight the value SMG brings to secure future opportunities
  • Actively work with internal teams to ensure campaign success based on the KPIs and act as a subject matter expert on the paid social media marketing space
  • Review client deliverables for quality, ensuring that recommendations and work product are sound and viable
  • Work with platform reps to stay up to date on the latest changes and trends
  • Provide training on social platform tools to clients and account management teams

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in paid advertising including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest and Reddit
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or Communication field preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, strong analytical skills
  • Precise attention to detail, adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills
