Hemphill and Schirmer Construction has been in business for 40 years with a top-level reputation for custom new build homes and remodels. Hemphill and Schirmer Construction is seeking a lead carpenter to highly skilled carpenter.
Top candidates will be, self-motivated, have the ability to lead others, be efficient, have good communication skills, and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
-Preparing layouts
-Framing
-Window/door installation
-Siding
-Trim work
-Operating tools, heavy machinery, and other equipment
-Standing for long periods
-Climbing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects
-Cleaning, maintaining, and storing tools and equipment properly
Hemphill and Schirmer Construction will provide consistent 40-hour work weeks with overtime opportunities. Job sites will be located primarily in the Tawas area. Reliable transportation is mandatory.
