Position: Warehouse Technician for an Audio Manufacturing Warehouse
Location: 32nd st and Broadway 85040
Pay: $17-18
Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM
SUMMARY: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
· Determines method of shipment.
· Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
· Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.
· Inserts items into containers.
· Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
· Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
· Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments.
· Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
· Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
· Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
· Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
· Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
· Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.
· Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
