POSITION SUMMARY
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Child Care Workers’ daily activities, monitoring program standards to ensure safety and the delivery of comprehensive program services for youth. This position sees that tasks are completed, and employees are motivated to work effectively. The Shift Supervisor implements the daily schedule and manages daily operations to monitor and control service delivery and preservation of a safe and therapeutic environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coaches Child Care Workers, encouraging, planning, correcting, and maintaining constant communication with team members.

Provides Child Care Workers with guidance, support, compassion and structure through mentoring, role modeling, and the integrations of VQ fabric to promote personal growth and development.

Responsible for the supervision, safety, preservation of youth rights, and overall care of the youth.

Assigns duties and responsibilities, resolves conflicts among employees, assures policies, rules, and regulations are followed.

Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent degree.

Child welfare and/or case management experience is preferred.

Previous management experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must be 21 years of age or older.

Required to work a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Must have a valid driver’s license.
-
Cleared background checks from appropriate entities.
-
Must pass a drug test and physical.
Able to obtain an FBI Level 1 clearance card, child abuse clearances, and state police background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.

Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.

May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
Available shifts: 10PM-6AM or 10AM-6PM
