Job Description:

The Service Delivery Consultant - Software Monitoring Analyst is a member of the Software License Compliance (SliC) team within the Global Technology Change and Third Party team. The primary goal of the SLiC team is to mature the Bank’s processes and tools to ensure software license compliance to contractual requirements and the team is focused on identifying, escalating, monitoring, and preventing commercial software risk. This role is accountable for ensuring assigned license portfolio is compliant to contractual terms, standards, conditions and regulations.

As a Software Licensing Analyst, you will be responsible for daily, strategic management and control of Third Party Commercial Software and licensing platforms in order to optimize the value, cost and risk of software. Analyst will examine software license contracts, purchases and software discovery data and perform reconciliation and remediation tasks to ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness. Track, maintain and coordinate license and maintenance agreement renewals and procurement. Conduct software license and vendor research to support clients purchasing and contracting obligations.

The Analyst will work closely with subject matter experts, including product managers, technical product managers, enterprise vendor managers, systems architects and engineers to obtain critical vendor and product details required to manage software license compliancy. Analyst will perform assessments to confirm license compliancy and optimization of the Bank’s software portfolio. Overall responsibility is to study and manage vendors’ software licenses in the Bank’s software asset management tool, Flexera Network Management Suite (FNMS).

Some duties & responsibilities:

  • Collect and maintain accurate Software Licensing details in system of record to address software compliancy, software limitations and analyze software contracts, EULAs, EAs, purchases and cost.
  • Develop and implement procedures to automate data collection, storage and reporting of software attributes to manage software effective across the enterprise.
  • Organizes, analyzes, and manages purchase information to establish an accurate and complete summary of license entitlements.
  • Continuously assess tool capabilities for software discovery to measure software usage for key vendor products.
  • Work with Contract Analyst, Procurement, Product Managers and Legal to interpret software agreements, determine and ensure existing software usage complies with use rights and provide key terms and conditions summaries.
  • Manage Enterprise License true-up & reconciliation. Provide support during software publisher audits. Assist with dispute resolution for resolving non-compliance issues with Remediation support team.
  • Reconcile entitlements (based upon Product Use Rights, rules, allowances, etc.) with software inventory information and guides the normalization, management and summarization of customer purchase information to assure complete and accurate analysis.
  • Identify savings opportunities through software re-harvesting and license stock optimization.



Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Software Asset Management principles and practices.
  • Experience and knowledge in product use rights for publishers such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Symantec, Unix and Adobe.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, SQL, DBA or Engineering experience a plus.
  • Demonstrate the flexibility needed to adjust to changes in the work environment as well as being a contributing team member.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong cross-functional team leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and navigate in a complex organization and dynamic environments.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and match data from multiple sources
  • Ability to perform duties independently with general supervision
  • FNMS experience is preferred
  • CSAM certification a plus
