The Service Business Development Representative is responsible for business development in their assigned region. He/she is responsible for presenting, selling, and retaining service contracts; prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business; and collaborating with the Key Account Manager to maximize service sales opportunities and deliver service revenue objectives in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Uncovering and closing service sales opportunities to achieve and exceed contract capture, and service revenue targets in the region
  • Implementing proactive call schedule to increase sales growth
  • Demonstrating services value to assigned customers and works with the Service Sales Coordinator to generate proposals and prepares service contract quotations.
  • Proactively manage contract renewal process working closely with the Service Sales Coordinator to retain and grow service contracts.
  • Performing onsite visits to capture equipment inventory for new business and verify equipment inventory for service contract renewals
  • Prioritizing selling time to build and maintain a balanced funnel of prospects to generate sales, achieving account penetration and driving capture rate.
  • Developing and maintaining consultative sales relationships with all key-buying influencers in each account. Utilizes installed base information, sales and service reports/databases, new leads, and cold-calling efforts.
  • Tracking call outcomes and opportunities through designated tracking processes and/or customer relationship management tools.
  • Supporting and partnering with other field sales and service personnel in their efforts to sell service value (POD)
  • Following up on targeted marketing campaigns and maximizes incremental revenue
  • Ensuring seamless teamwork with the Key Account Manager, Equipment Sales, Field Service Team, Marketing, and Customer Service & Support Group to maximize all sales potential. (POD)
  • Ability to travel weekly, visiting customers face-to-face in a sales capacity or for customer visits and business meetings.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree, preferably in business
  • Minimum of one to two years of prior sales experience required
  • Exemplary listening skills
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for the customer
  • "Hunter" mindset, able to actively uncover and pursue new opportunities and follow through to closing
