Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm with rotational Saturdays

Your Responsibilities & Essential Job Duties:
- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles
- Prepare repair order by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs
- Confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns
- Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep customer informed on completion times and services expenses.
- Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
- Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
- Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures and prepare work order for needed repairs.
- Prepares a repair order showing time, cost and labor estimates for service.
- Writes a brief description of the customer’s concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
- Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
- Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
- Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
- Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
- Establishes “promised time.” Checks with dispatch, if necessary.
- Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
- Establishes customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
- Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed and provides an estimate for body work.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 18 years of age to be able to drive for the company
- Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred
- CDK experience is preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Basic mechanical understanding of a vehicle
