Senior Strategy & Planning Associate, US/C Delivery Job at Uber
About the Role
The Uber Eats US & Canada Strategy and Planning Senior Associate will work with leadership across Operations to set our strategy, align teams around that strategy, and collaborate with business team members including Finance, Product, Data Science, and Marketing to deliver on it. This role will be a partner to the US & Canada Uber Eats leadership team and RGM.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Drive analysis on US and Canada priorities in partnership with the leadership team and align cross-functional business unit strategy; be a business and industry specialist and the go-to person for mega-regional strategy
- Address key strategic questions through research analytical frameworks and insights to build a balanced long-term advantage for Uber Eats
- Advise senior leadership on business priorities through research, industry benchmarking, customer input and data analysis and communicate findings and to diverse audiences
- Problem solve. We're faced with new and exciting problems that need creative solutions every single day. Provide thought leadership on problems without precedent
- Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep local teams as efficient as possible
- Build and own periodic reporting - Take advantage of the ever-growing data pool we have at our fingertips to facilitate decision making and improve operations
- Partner with product, tech, operations, marketing, legal, and many other cross-functional teams to measure the impact & efficiency of business initiatives
- Demonstrate intuition for business and expertise to lead project teams of 2-3 associates on the team and drive decisions autonomously
Basic Qualifications:
4 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or other strategic roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with a passion for crafting magical customer experiences
- Critical thinking - understanding strategic business drivers across disparate businesses will be essential
- Experience leading large cross-functional and data driven projects with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork
- Experience creating exec ready materials (decks, recommendations) and working closely with leadership
- Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets, SQL experience OR ability and willingness to develop proficiency is a must
- Masters degree is a plus, but not required, preference for degrees in Economics, Statistics, Business, Finance, and other quantitative fields
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
