Barton Malow is currently seeking an onsite Project Manager to join our automotive program in Glendale, KY. The ideal candidate will be organized and self-motivated to work onsite on a high profile mission/critical project. This position will also have estimating and design coordination responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication transpiring from civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical breakout sessions with appropriate project stakeholders.

Examine the overall project budget as it relates to self-perform work, subcontractor bids, trade partner costs, general conditions, and staffing. Prepare budgets for owner review as required.

Ensure pricing submitted to the owner is inclusive of all required items. Lead cost reviews between owner, owners cost consultant and BMC.

Engage discipline estimators in providing pricing for changes in work, value engineering and ongoing procurement efforts.

Estimate and procure bid packages related to various scopes of work. Formulate bid tabs and level costs.

Conduct thorough post bids reviews on various estimating disciplines. Keep detailed records of pre and post meeting communication.

Review project documents for cost impacts to trade specific scopes of work. Draft individual trade specific scopes of work on an as needed basis

Maintain an effective log of cost and schedule impacts related to the latest and greatest document releases, bulletins, and program addendums.

Maintain an effective log of ongoing changes in scope related to allowances, field conditions, and other ongoing items

Provides direction to members of the project team to plan, organize and direct activities related to construction projects.

Establishes project objectives, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.

Review and monitor project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget.

Review and provide recommendations on potential project change orders including detailed analysis of impacts to the overall project budget and schedule

Directs procurement process including development of overall bidding strategy for project; writes work scopes and develops front end documents for bidding based on project needs and requirements of owner contract; organizes and conducts pre-bid meetings, receives/evaluates bids and assists with conducting post-bid reviews.

Assumes a lead role in any dispute resolution activities occurring on assigned projects. Manages relationships and communication with architect/engineers, clients and consultants.

Creates and manages general conditions budget. Sets up a multi-element cash flow and manpower projection analysis at various stages of the project, enters monthly actuals and runs reports; adjusts projects based on actual progress

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years working for a general contractor in the commercial construction industry

2+ years working as an estimator for a general contractor

Experience doing takeoff with OST, Blue beam or similar

Fully comprehend all project documentation including but not limited to drawings, specifications, and submittals

Experience taking notes in descriptive detail

Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook

Knowledge and understanding of construction project costs ranging from 1 to 20 million dollars in value

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Requirements:
5+ years of Construction Industry/Automotive/Energy/Industrial experience working with a general contractor with self-perform capabilities

3+ years of experience working as an estimator for a general contractor with self-perform capabilities.

OSHA 30 Hour certification

Experience working on projects with a CM/DB hybrid delivery method.

Experience with BIM 360 and Navisworks

Knowledge and understanding of construction project costs ranging from 1 to 100 million dollars in value
