The Senior Network & Systems Administrator will be responsible for operating, configuring, and maintaining Truth Initiative’s enterprise information systems, and troubleshooting/resolving issues that may arise to maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible to ensure the stability, administration, and monitoring of private and cloud information systems, physical and virtual servers, the day-to-day operations of the LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure that may include switches, routers, firewalls, and all other equipment pertaining to the office infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded IT background, possessing intermediate to advanced skills and experience on Windows Server OS, VMWare & Hyper-V server virtualization technologies as well as cloud services support on various platforms.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, Wireless Access Points, and other networking equipment/services
• Configure and manage Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Windows/Linux OS servers, failover clusters, VMWare/Hyper-V virtual servers and services
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Office 365, Azure AD, VOlP phone system, Cloud applications and storage services
• Provide support to end-users and assist junior staff in problem resolution.
• Manage daily back-up and replication of network servers and perform restores.
• Stay abreast of current technology and security issues.
• Monitor and ensure the day-to-day uptime and maximum performance of the network.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate anti-virus and patch management systems, ensuring up-to-date virus protection and updates of all workstations/servers.
• Research user requirements and make recommendations.
• Implement improvements in infrastructure, develop and maintain system documentations, policy/guidelines, and training materials.
• Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment and conferencing tools/platforms
• Train end-users on system usage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration. This position will require proficiency with the following services/applications: Office 365, Windows, Mac OS, VMWare, Hyper-V, Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus/Endpoint Protection, SQL Servers/services, Backup/Replication Technologies, and Symantec Ghost. A strong understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN, Active Directory, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DFS, Certificate Authority, routers, switching, and firewall technologies is essential. Candidates must have strong technical and problem-solving skills. Other essential skills are to be a team player with good customer-service, leadership, and communication skills. Certifications from Cisco/Microsoft/VMware strongly preferred.
