Position Summary: *
The Senior Manager – Logistics Solutions will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and is responsible for developing, proposing and implementing solutions to address customers’ supply chain needs. As part of these responsibilities, the Senior Manager will lead the cost-to-serve analyses and support the financial modeling of proposals. This position will collaborate significantly with customers to understand their business requirements and across NDC on solutions to fulfill these needs capably and profitably.

This position will be based in La Vergne, TN.

Key Responsibilities: *

• Manages customer solutions through discovery and requirements gathering, designing and modeling, project plans and proposals, internal review, customer approval, implementation and delivery, and post go live reviews of actuals vs plan.
• Collaborate with customers and visit their operations to understand their needs. Identify and explore potential changes in scope that could reduce costs and/or the implementation timeline.
• Lead the design and modeling of solutions that profitably meet customer needs. This includes partnering across NDC as well as with third parties (e.g., equipment vendors, consultants, logistics service providers).
• Develop and ensure the accuracy of solution designs including facility and line layouts, operational requirements and investments, detailed process flows and time studies, material handling systems, IT systems enablement, cost-to-serve analyses and financial models, benchmarking analysis, sensitivity analysis and alternative approaches.
• Prepare and present analyses and recommended solutions to Leadership and customers.
• Research distribution center related technologies and solutions through trade shows, research, and relationships with relevant equipment suppliers and service providers.
• Support other distribution operations initiatives associated with the profitable growth of the company.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a STEM related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of experience designing, developing and implementing warehouse solutions
• Skilled at facility flow, layout and design as well as using drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• Demonstrable experience conducting time studies and establishing labor standards
• Deep understanding of formal project management methodologies and/or Six Sigma DMAIC discipline
• Experience specifying, sourcing and procuring warehousing equipment
• Exemplary skill building valued partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating and influencing effectively across all levels of an organization, leading change, collaborating and working cross-functionally, facilitating workshops, applying emotional intelligence, and employing analytics
• Ability to travel 30%

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Consulting or 3PL experience, ideally in a healthcare environment
• Experience with operations simulation software
• Project Management or Continuous Improvement expertise gained through training, certification, and/or industry associations (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, PMP)
