Job Description

The Senior Director of Public Relations and Social Media is responsible for developing and executing effective plans to increase public awareness of all of the communities, health and medical, wellness, and at-home services provided by Fellowship Senior Living as well as establishing relationships with businesses, contacts and media representatives to build and maintain the reputation of FSL. The Senior Director of Public Relations and Social Media is responsible for unifying our brand across all print and digital channels, establishing a social media presence across multiple platforms, blogs, and creating content and digital communications to increase new leads and referrals for all communities and services of FSL.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
    Minimum of 7 years’ public relations and social media experience, preferably in the healthcare field and/or non-profit organization.
    BA in marketing, public relations, or other related field required.
    Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively advocate with external stakeholders and the media on behalf of the organization.
    Experience managing and using social media as a part of an overall organizational communications strategy.
    Understanding of and effective use of strategic, persuasive and consultative PR & Social Medica techniques.
    Demonstrated record of working within a ‘performance-measured’ environment and experience with reporting/metrics/data management with a strong outcomes perspective.
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, social media management software, media databases, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and other software applications.
    Advanced social media skills to effectively build and sustain online visibility.
    Leadership skills and strategic, long-range planning capability with exceptional innovation skills.
    Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
    Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
    Results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and high level of integrity and dependability.
    Must demonstrate the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting and possess strong interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to respond to and work with a mature resident population, contributing to a warm, caring and supportive environment for the enjoyment of the residents/clients and to promote this philosophy to all team members. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with persons from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
    Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of all clients of the organization, including sponsors, team members, residents, members, patients, local community, and vendors.
    Understanding and support of the mission, vision, Fellowship Spirit, and philosophy of Fellowship Senior Living. Supports the goals of the Board of Directors and the administration.
