Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle various inventory and cost accounting processes.
  • Prepare all inventory-related journal entries at month end.
  • Complete month-end and year-end reporting process to reconcile cost and gross margin against financial statements.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and maintain workbooks for various areas including but not limited to: Cost of goods sold, Inventory, Leases, Fixed assets and others.
  • Prepare various inventory and cost accounting entries and account reconciliations.
  • Work with cross functional business partners in USA to ensure inventorial costs are properly being captured.
  • Maintain documentation on the company’s accounting policies, best practices and SOP's.
  • Monitor and perform analysis on key cost of goods sold and inventory general ledger accounts.
  • Develop and document processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Other ad hoc assignments as required.
  • Develop and analyze cost variances monthly.
  • This is HYBRID Role (3 Days Onsite at our Headquarters in New York City & 2 Days Week Remote).

YOU HAVE/ARE*:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
  • Exposure to Great Plains system (Preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of related cost accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
  • Actively contribute to our culture of continuous improvement
