What You Will Be Doing:

• Directing all daily construction activities to include work, equipment, materials, quality, schedule, budget, safety, communications, documentation, and compliance.
• Managing all activities related to contractor relations including selection, hiring, and qualifying of contractors and subcontractors, preparing RFP's, level bids, procurement, contract negotiations and administration, securing permits and licenses, electrical and mechanical infrastructure design, construction, and commissioning.
• Owning the project delivery timeline including site possession dates, permitting, construction commencement and completion, project delivery and target customer go-live dates.
• Overseeing project scheduling, bidding, capital expenses, as well as the purchase order and payment processes.
• Prioritizing Owner’s site representation daily to document construction activities, issues, and material deliveries as well activities/inspections to monitor contractor QA/QC processes and overall quality.
• Writing and reviewing scheduled and ad-hoc project-related procedures, reports, MOPs, specifications, and presentations.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s or beyond with an advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Engineering related field required.
• 10 or more years engineering experience, with five (5) years in a Lead role on projects valued at $50 million or larger with focus on Civil/Site Preparation experienced in construction/project management. Experience in the utility electricity distribution field strongly preferred.
• Expert in AutoCAD (Site, Building and Mapping), Be prepared to submit a worked-on site plan.
• Expert in MS Project.
• Strong General computing skills with Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe (editing tools).
• Experience with Drone and Aerial Surveying and use of Drone Mapping Software also preferred.
• Extensive experience interfacing with:
  • Geotechnical Engineering– topography, earth materials, soil mechanics and rock mechanics. Knowledge of sampling/test requirements.
  • Municipal Engineering – minor utility relocation
  • Water Resources Management – well drilling, treatment, storage, pumping, transfer piping
  • Storm/Wastewater Management – collection and retention, EPA permitting and design
  • GIS Integration and Mapping
  • Waste Management and Water Resources
• Prior working experience in a wide variety of site/area development projects and site/civil infrastructure/concrete projects, and site plumbing (potable water and sanitary sewer).
• Demonstrated strategic mindset, with a proven ability to take a broad, global perspective when considering proactive solutions to long-term opportunities and risks that might develop in the future.
