Senior Construction Manager Job at Parametrix, Inc.
Parametrix, a 100-percent employee-owned premier engineering, planning, project management/construction management, and environmental sciences consulting firm with offices located in WA, OR and throughout the western United States, is seeking SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERS/CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS to support the construction projects of our clients in the Puget Sound region.
Successful Senior PM/CMs will join our team and may provide owner’s representative, program management, project management and construction management related services for our clientele that include public agencies, K-12 school districts, municipalities, and private industry. They will be based out of our Seattle or Tacoma office (based on preference) and may be required to travel and work remotely at client offices and construction project sites across the greater Puget Sound Region. Typical project values range from $5-100M+ and typical duration of project assignments range from 1 ½-4 years.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $100,000-$125,000. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program. We are happy to be transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure and the value of being an employee-owner.

Who you are:
Experience: 9+ years of increasingly responsible PM/CM experience on building and/or facilities projects. Knowledgeable of industry standard design and construction practices/procedures; project programming; project budgeting; applicable laws and statutes; project management and construction management procedures and processes; design and construction contract terms and requirements; scheduling; cost estimating; value engineering and constructability reviews; agency permitting processes/requirements; contractor/subcontractor bidding; and construction. Previous training and/or experience in alternative project delivery (GC/CM or Design/Build) in Washington and K-12 design/construction would be a “plus”. Previous experience in business development and/or marketing for new clients/work would be a “plus”.
Skills: Ideal candidate would possess excellent work ethic, time management and interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to work independently and remotely when required. Ability to work collaboratively with Owner’s project representative, stakeholders, A/E team, contractor, subcontractors and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure that projects meet or exceed the Owner’s expectations pertaining to program, quality, cost, budget and schedule. Proficiency with software packages key to the industry and role. (ie. MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, MSProject, etc.)
