Job Title: Senior Architect – Green Building Residential

Sustainable Comfort, Inc., a green building and energy efficiency consulting firm with expertise in multifamily housing, is seeking a senior architect to join our growing team. We develop, design, engineer, build and manage multifamily housing with a specialty in LEED, Energy Star and Passive House certified buildings. Our focus is Sustainability & Green Buildings. SCI works with development and construction teams throughout the greater Northeast Region to make better multifamily buildings, with a specific focus in ENERGY Star Homes, LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, Passive House, HERS Rating, State Incentive Programs, and Code Compliance. The senior architect will develop and oversee the design of building plans with an eye for sustainability to meet various energy efficiency and green building programs.

Key Activities:

· Project management and oversight of multi-family projects

· Represent company and develop business at professional conferences, associations, trade shows and conventions

· Present designs at client consults, public meetings, and regulatory reviews

· Proposal writing, estimating and cost tracking

· Grow team through recruitment and hiring practices

· Support and lead designers through projects

· Produce drawings

· Work with developers on building plans with an eye for sustainability to meet various energy efficiency and green building programs

· Interact with contractors and other team members to communicate program requirements and inspection schedules

· Understand building science and various green building programs such as Energy Star, LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, and Passive House Certification programs

· Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment to ensure work gets out the door on time

· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture

· 15+ years of experience

· Architecture license

· Revit experience required

· Skilled in building envelope detailing, preferable in wood-framed construction

· Adept understanding of building and zoning codes

· Well-rounded experience executing architectural projects through all phases from concept through construction

· Knowledge of energy efficient design

· Residential experience

· Ability to travel as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

· Competitive compensation $95K-$120K based on experience
