Position Summary

The Seasonal Specialist supports the General Manager and directs, monitors, and assures the implementation of operational processes and procedures, and an established customer engagement policy to accomplish sales, profit, and customer service objectives of the Lawn and Garden and Seasonal departments. The Seasonal Specialist is responsible for growing the Seasonal departments by promoting their knowledge of all related merchandise, customer engagements, business relationships, special-order sales, and increasing sales of in-store merchandise. The Seasonal Specialist works closely with the General Manager, and the Merchandising department to ensure program implementation and execution and provides feedback on program success and merchandising needs within relevant departments.

Principal accountabilities

SALES PERFORMANCE

· Assists Management to implement, drive and monitor customer engagement strategies to achieve sales and margin objectives for assigned departments

· Assists Management to implement, drive and execute sales initiative strategies to achieve sales and margin objectives for assigned departments

· Implements best practices for merchandising and selling

· Establishes relationships with customers

· Establishes relationships with local businesses

· Ensures Ad merchandise is presented prominently and related add on items are cross merchandised

· Leads by example for customer engagement techniques and maintains a high-level presence in the Seasonal department

· Identifies and recommends the needs for the Seasonal department to the General Manager

· Knowledge of POS Functions

· Manages quotes and estimates

· Maintains Safety Awareness

Requirements

· Experience with Outdoor Power Equipment

· Highly Knowledgeable in Seasonal, Seasonal Plants, Lawn and Garden

· Positive Culture/Attitude

· Good Communication Skills

· Train and develop associates within the seasonal department

Compensation

Full-time hourly position starting rate $15-18 per hour

Availability – All shifts / Days / Weekends

Minimum two-weeks’ vacation to start
