Kingdom East School District seeks an individual with excellent communication, networking, and organizational skills to join our team as our School to Home Coordinator (SHC). The School to Home Coordinator supports one or two schools, depending on student needs, and is highly integrated into the functioning of the school community. The SHC will function in collaboration with the school counselors and school based clinicians with a primary responsibility of working closely with teachers, administrators, families, students and community organizations. The SHC, in partnership with the school counselors and clinicians, helps to identify school, student and family needs and organizes responses consistent with helping students and their families who struggle with some aspect of their lives that impacts the students educational achievement.
The SHC monitors and implements multi-tiered, research-based educational preventative supports and responses to students, including behavioral and mental health services to address school, family and student needs. No teaching license is required. Licensed school counselor, social worker or mental health counselor preferred.The Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
Our high school students have choice and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains.
Both Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues. Our communities attract wholesome families, faculty and staff. Our schools maintain impassioned faculty, personalized beliefs about success, and a caring, safe school culture.
