Position Purpose:
- Basic functions of the Enrichment Coordinator/School Support Manager are:
- Coordinate all aspects of the Enrichment Programs and Special Events.
- Oversees curriculum implementation of the school.
- Overall operation of the School in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director.
Essential Functions: Under the guidance of and as directed by the School Director:
- Manages the School in conformance with all state and local regulations and The Gardner School policies and procedures.
- Effectively resolves problems related to the management of the School or seeks appropriate assistance from the School Director and/or District Manager.
- Maintains effective communications between School staff and parents.
- Maintains administrative records for the School.
- Maintains appropriate and required records on children.
- Plans work schedules and supervise staff, assist in lesson planning, and evaluate staff's performance.
- Keeps fully apprised of all activities in the School.
- Prepares and forwards reports and forms in accordance with The Gardner School policies and procedures.
- Completes all daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Always represents the best interests of the children and The Gardner School.
Fiscal Responsibilities: Under the guidance of and as directed by the School Director:
- Maintains an accurate financial accounting of the School operation and protects the Company's monetary assets.
- Supports and implements the operational budget as approved.
- Ensures that classroom equipment is maintained in good repair. Through the School Director, requests replacements and contracts for needed repairs following Company policies and procedures.
- Prepares and forwards required reports as designated by the School Director or Region Manager such as weekly statistics, etc.
- Takes responsibility for Company assets and cash, makes daily deposits.
- Ensures accuracy and timely collection of accounts receivable in accordance with The Gardner School policies and procedures.
- Makes purchases necessary to School operation while maximizing operational profit.
School Staff: Under the guidance of and as directed by the School Director:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff to maintain proper staff/child ratios, as directed by School Director.
- Ensures that each staff member receives and understands her/his job description, The Gardner School policies and procedures, and other orientation information and materials.
- Maintains personnel records as required by the School Director and ensures confidentiality. (Medical records must be kept in a separate confidential file).
- Maintains a current substitute list, if available.
- Prepares and forwards all personnel records and forms as required to District Manager or HR in a timely manner.
- Trains and coaches staff on curriculum implementation and assessments.
Enrichments: Under the guidance of and as directed by the School Director:
- Maintains Enrichment Contracts with vendors, and timely invoicing and billing.
- Manages enrollment and proper billing of enrichment programs.
- Maintains accurate records of enrichment classes
- Helps to coordinate and plan all school special events
- Keeps parents informed of their child's enrichment progress
- Tracks all inquiries, converts inquiries into parent tours of the School, and converts tours into enrollments.
Parents: Under the guidance and direction of the School Director:
- Conducts parent meetings and other conferences as requested.
- Regularly solicits feedback from parents in order to make improvements in the School.
Health and Safety: Under the guidance and direction of the School Director:
- Conducts training of staff in all School safety rules and regulations.
- Enforces all safety rules and regulations with staff for the safety of the children and parents.
- Enforces staff habits that result in clean and healthy care of children, including universal precautions.
- Maintains up-to-date health records for both staff and children.
- Enforces health and sanitation procedures that result in clean and healthy care of children and environment.
- Maintains a clean environment by providing for scheduled cleaning of the School and thorough frequent visual checks.
- Informs parents whenever their child has been exposed to communicable disease.
- Ensures that someone with first aid training and/or CPR training is always present at the School per state requirements.
- Has emergency telephone numbers and an emergency plan, conducts emergency drills.
- Maintains building, equipment and grounds through daily safety checks to ensure a safe environment meeting safety standards.
- Notifies parents via telephone immediately should their child suffer any type of injury. Ensure proper documentation of accident/incident and obtain necessary signatures.
- Dispense medication to children that have a medication authorization form completed.
Reporting Relationships:
The Enrichment Coordinator/School Support Manager reports to the School Director. The Enrichment Coordinator supervises Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers/Floaters, and a cook, as directed by School Director and may have scheduled teacher responsibilities in addition to providing administrative and operational support.
Licensing regulations pertaining to the operation and staffing of a School is main consideration in every aspect of daily activities. Therefore, an excellent relationship between the School and the licensing board representative is essential. The Enrichment Coordinator/School Support Manager supports the School Director in maintaining good communications with the state licensing board representative.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Enrichment Coordinators must be able to react quickly with sound judgment and problem solving skills in complex and critical situations such as injuries and accidents. Enrichment Coordinators must be qualified and able to perform the duties of other staff members as assigned by the School Director.
Enrichment Coordinators must possess excellent communications skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff and children, the ability to receive and respond to telephone inquiries, and excellent written communications through letters and personal computers.
Frequently lifts or moves weight as in lifting, carrying, and holding children and infants up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
Bachelor's degree required. Prefer degree in early childhood education, child development or a health related field. Also prefer a minimum of two years experience in licensed childcare with at least one year as a teacher or supervising a childcare program.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
