Character of Position

As a Technical Sales Representative, you be responsible for acting as a liaison between the company and customers. You will assess the needs of the customer and provide a solution by promoting relevant products, and explaining clearly how they work.


*This position is an outside sales position with the majority of time spent calling on customers and office work will be performed remotely.*


Responsibilities

  • Provide innovative solutions to customers resulting in the development and growth of customer accounts* Establish long term business relationships with customers by assessing their application needs in person and over the phone
  • Plan and perform customer sales calls, assess customer needs, prepare customer quotes, close orders, and follow up on all related activities
  • Inform customers of available products by anticipating their needs and introducing new products
  • Develop a deeper knowledge of Morrell products on a continuous basis by attending related training sessions to enhance sales and presentation skills
  • Provide coverage of assigned accounts and build strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identifying and respond promptly to customer requests
  • Grow new and existing accounts by selling a well-balanced mix of product lines
  • Build relationships through consultative selling of products and services by working directly with mobile equipment OEM customers to asses and solve their application needs using our products
  • Evaluate product applications and assist customers with product scope, technical description, proposals and project management
  • Travel to off-site business and customer locations
  • Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
  • Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Other duties as assigned
