Sales Development Representative Job at The Marena Group
Job Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) focuses on outbound sales strategy by contributing to the generation of new sales within Marena Group. You will be responsible for moving sales leads through a sales pipeline by contacting, qualifying and scheduling sales appointments for qualified prospects for the compression garments we have to offer. The SDR must be a driven individual with a desire to succeed through excellent communications, superior people skills and a strong work ethic. Must be comfortable using the phone to present Marena Group and their products. Must also be comfortable handling rejections and moving on to the next opportunity. The goal of the SDR is to schedule high-quality sales appointments for Marena’s new sales team to help them in winning new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to generated leads in a timely manner using provided conversation guidelines and qualifying questions.
- Prospecting of new business opportunities by using Marena provided lists and contact information
- Basic knowledge of prospect and their product requirements and how they purchase product
- Learn about Marena products and be able to provide and answer questions about Marena
- Establish or schedule appointments with interested and qualified prospects with the respective sales representative
- Enter and upload the prospect’s information into SalesForce.com
- Go the extra mile to hit sales quota and facilitate future sales
- Keep record of qualitied leads and note all relevant information

Qualification/Requirements
- High School Diploma; Degree in Business related subject preferable; will accept equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a tele-sales representative or other sales/customer service role, or a strong educational background in sales or related major
- Be familiar with SalesForce or some other CRM tool with a willingness to learn
- Ability to learn about products and services and be able to communicate them to prospects
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to stay focused, to work quickly and make many contacts via the telephone
- Able to handle rejection and move on to the next opportunity
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with sales cadence tools, such as SalesLoft, a plus, but not required
Work Environment/Physical Demands
The SDR will perform their work in a general office environment using standard office equipment. The following demands are representative of what to expect to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Bend, twist, or stoop on a repetitive and continuous basis
- Stand and remain on feet for extended periods of time
- Operate various business/office devices, including computers, printer/scanner/fax machines
- Sit and concentrate for long periods of time to compute, examine, and interpret data and calls
