Universal Roof & Contracting (Orlando), an established and growing contracting company is now accepting applications for a Project Manager to oversee subcontractor crews for our residential roofing division.

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for controlling every stage of roofing installations, and all other work related to the roofing project, as well as repairs to residential properties from the beginning of the project through every phase up to completion and final walk through. The Project Manager aims to complete projects on time and within budget, ensuring that roofing crews work in safe conditions, and conducting on site safety meetings with the crew and completing daily safety checklists. The Project Manager supervises the work of the crew assigned to each project. The Project Manager must possess skill in supervision, cost and project planning, in addition to excellent knowledge of roofing techniques and materials. The Project Manager must represent Universal Roof & Contracting in a courteous and professional way when dealing with crews, suppliers, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Review scope of work to be performed

• Hold pre-construction meeting with each homeowner on first day of project

• Contact homeowner throughout project and final walk-through

• Schedule and attend planning meetings with production department and Roofing Superintendents

• Orders procurement of tools, equipment, and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules

• Maintain daily jobsite records

• Prepare estimates for minor change orders

• Ensure safe and clean work site is maintained and that all workers abide by OSHA safety standards

• Supervise 6-8 employees including Roofing Superintendents and subcontracted roofing crews

Requirements

• Minimum required education – High school graduate or equivalent

• Trade school or 2-3 years’ experience in roofing or construction trades preferred

• Previous management experience desirable but not required

• Must be able to speak English fluently. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Must be willing to undergo a background check

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
