RN/LPN Nurse Manager Job at Mountain Manor Treatment Center
Job Summary:
The licensed nurse is responsible for carrying out the medical orders given by the Physician and Psychiatrist for the care of the individual patient. The licensed nurse has the ability to assess patient needs, mental disorders and to initiate a nursing care plan for the individual patient. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for supervising medical staff, assisting the Program Director in daily milieu, scheduling medical staff, and other managerial duties.
Essential Functions:
-Responsible for nursing assessment admission interview
- Nursing observation and documentation
- Coordinate with physicians regarding individual patient care
-Medication administration including charting medication and its effectiveness
-Perform testing of patients including but not limited to blood pressure and weight
-Coordinate with other staff members in the care of the individual patient
-Accept and transcribe verbal orders
-Participate in development and evaluation of the medical aspects of the treatment plan
Education and Experience:
-Must be licensed RN or LPN in the State of Maryland.
-New graduates are encouraged to apply as well as experienced RN’s and LPN’s
