We are seeking a(an) RN Intake Coordinator for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualification

As an Intake Coordinator for Assessments and Referrals at our facility you will be leading a team that hasa passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve. In this role:

  • You will assess and evaluate patients in crisis to determine the best course of treatment.
  • You will screen patients at the Emergency Room and will also be available to assess and evaluate patients referred from other hospital units.
  • You will act as liaison to the community mental health or other appropriate agencies to triage and quickly facilitate appropriate placement.
  • You will conduct assessments and evaluations in person and on the telephone.
  • You will streamline and facilitate patient placement into the Behavioral Health department if warranted or refer to an appropriate community agency.
  • You may provide groups as needed and coordinate discharge and follow-up with patients.
  • You will be responsible for an initial contact with patient’s insurance companies and provide an initial diagnosis, if appropriate.
  • You will provide patients with adequate crisis intervention and safety planning if the patient is not being admitted.

Qualifications:

RN:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Certification in Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention within 90 days of hire.
  • Must possess communication skills and the sensitivity, maturity and ability to set forth ideas, findings and recommendations clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of mental health, community resources, and hospital Policy and Procedure.

Social Worker:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other behavioral science from an accredited university.
  • Idaho clinical license in field of study.
  • Requires experience and knowledge in all clinical areas of acute psychiatric hospital including acute adult and acute adolescent care.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Certification in Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention within 90 days of hire.
  • Must possess communication skills and the sensitivity, maturity and ability to set forth ideas, findings and recommendations clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of mental health, community resources, and hospital Policy and Procedure.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. We offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults at its 74-bed Behavioral Health Center.
