We're looking for an RIA transition consultant to join our ranks. As the financial services industry continues to evolve, Commonwealth remains committed to its legacy of providing indispensable service: a level of service so satisfying our customers would never want to be without us. To support this legacy, we have built a team dedicated to supporting Commonwealth's RIA and fee-only advisors. We are seeking candidates for the role of RIA transition consultant.
Your focus will be on transitioning fee-only advisors and RIA firms into Commonwealth, as well as transitioning existing Commonwealth advisors to a fee-only affiliation model. As an RIA transition consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the entire process runs smoothly. You will work with the transitioning advisor's office and provide all the support and training an advisor needs to move their book of business to Commonwealth or to the new fee-only affiliation model. Answering any questions that arise and acting as a guide and liaison between the advisor's office and Commonwealth's other departments are all in a day's work.

Key responsibilities
- Acting as the relationship manager/quarterback and guiding new advisors through the entire transition process, as well as helping internal advisors move across affiliation models
- Identifying and coordinating trainings with various departments for new advisors and their staff
- Answering questions on a wide variety of topics-such as operational tasks, branding, compliance, and wealth management-and developing a good understanding of the other custodians
- Creating and overseeing a personalized transition timeline for each advisor's office, ensuring a smooth transition of the advisor's book of business
- Working in tandem with other departments and teammates to facilitate a successful transition and a great experience
- Acting as the first point of escalation for new advisors and their staff
- Staying abreast of new resources, products, and procedures, as well as industry news and regulations affecting fee-only practices
- Serving as a lead presenter for home office visits to discuss all details of a fee-only or RIA transition
- Traveling up to 10 percent of the time (after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted) to new advisors' offices to assist in their training during their first 3-5 months of affiliation with Commonwealth
- Educating new advisors and their staff on all areas of Commonwealth

Additional skills and knowledge
- At least 3 years of experience working with advisors or a financial services firm that engages in advisory business
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 securities registrations preferred
