Job Overview (What You’ll Do):
Cotopaxi is looking for a Retention and Loyalty Marketing Senior Manager who can own the roadmap, product development, launch and optimization of Cotopaxi’s loyalty membership program while also overseeing retention and loyalty channels like email, sms and direct mail. This role will be central to a cross-functional group of stakeholders focused on driving consumer lifetime value and brand engagement through repeat purchase rate, open rate, click through rate etc. and is pivotal to the success of Cotopaxi’s Growth Marketing team.
This role requires strategic vision, cross-group collaboration, digital marketing experience and a commitment to surprising and delighting customers. Our ideal candidate will not only have experience with loyalty marketing but will be a leader who can help develop the retention and loyalty team members both personally and professionally.
Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):
- Design, develop, launch and optimize a loyalty program that fuels continual business growth in alignment with company projections.
- Lead the expansion of current end-to-end email campaign strategy resulting in best-in-class email marketing experiences.
- Manage relationships between the retention and loyalty team and outside platforms, consultants and vendors.
- Grow customer journeys and lifecycle marketing experiences that drive customer lifetime value.
- Own cross collaboration between Retention and Loyalty Channels like email and SMS.
- Lead reporting of Retention and Loyalty KPI’s for stakeholders and leadership teams.
The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):
- 6+ years of relevant loyalty and email marketing experience.
- SMS marketing experience is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Proven experience with Klaviyo or similar ESP.
- Proven experience with Customer Data Platforms and the development of specialized audiences based on first party consumer data.
- Detailed knowledge of loyalty programs, platforms and capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of email and SMS strategy.
- A passion for using data to tell a story, reporting on findings and driving next steps.
- Creative problem solving skills with a test-and-learn mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously, be a “self-starter”, solve complex problems, and overcome obstacles.
- Ability to maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor, helping foster an upbeat working environment.
