Restaurant Manager Job at Cinco de Mayo Bar & Grill
As the manager of Cinco de Mayo, are responsible for setting the pace, expectation, and energy levels of your team. You must be able to motivate and inspire your team and hold them accountable while continually developing your team members. As a leader in the restaurant you are responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant.This includes, guest experience, food safety, staff development and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Making sure everything is under control
- Train new employees
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
- Make orders for supplies and
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the restaurant
- Bag, box or gift-wrap To-Go orders
- Handle To-Go orders through the phone, delivery service tablet, and pick-up window
- Sometimes the manager will have to sit down customers to their tables
- Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
- Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
- Organizing schedules
- Keeping track of employees’ hours
- Recording payroll data
- Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
- Supervising daily shift operations
- Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
- Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
- Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
- Appraising staff performanceInterviewing/recruiting new employees
- Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
Skills
- Work experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar role in sales
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
- Good math skills
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- High school degree
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Reliable, Quick and Hard working
Qualifications
- Restaurant Management: 1 year (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- Work authorization (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
